Samsung Launches Galaxy K Zoom in India at Rs. 29,999

Samsung has announced the launch of its new smartphone, the Samsing Galaxy K zoom, in India for Rs. 29,999. The smartphone is equipped with a 20.7 megapixel camera with BSI CMOS sensor and a Xenon flash at the back which provides brighter light than LEDs. The Camera has 10x zoom and also provides Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) to reduce blur. In terms of focal length, the lens in K Zoom covers 24-240mm which has an aperture of F3.1-6.3. The smartphone has a 2 megapixel front camera which is equipped with Selfie Alarm feature allows users to take timed selfies with additional framing options.

This is the second camera-specialised smartphone released by the company, after Galaxy S4 Zoom. The Samsung Glaxy K Zoom has a 4.8-inch HD SuperAMOLED (720×1280 pixels) touchscreen, powered by a hexa-core processor(1.3 Ghz quad-core and 1.7 Ghz dual-core) with 2 GB of RAM. It houses 8 GB of internal storage which is expandable by another 64 GB with the help of a micro SD card. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat and packs a 2,430mAh battery. The phone will also support USB on the go and TV-out, so that you can share your media faster via a data cable.

In terms of connectivity, the smartphone will be available in two varaiants – 3G and 4G LTE. While other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, NFC, Micro-USB and GPS.

The Smartphone is available in three colour – Charcoal Black, Electric Blue and Shimmery White variants.

Samsung is giving away 50GB of Dropbox space for 2 years with every phone. Trial storage from Bitcasa with 1TB of space for 3 months, and some paid photography apps free for three months have also been included by Samsung. Futher, Amazon India will offering freebies worth Rs. 6,000 to the first 1,000 buyers. Freebies include – Samsung Pop out case, Sandisk 32GB microSD card, six free movie tickets, Rs. 1,000 value off coupon on purchase of select handbags on Amazon India, Rs. 1,000 value off coupon on purchase of select watches.
