Airtel 4G goes PAN India, data packs starts at Rs. 25

Bharti Airtel has launched 4G services in 296 towns across India. With this move, Airtel becomes the only service provider to provide PAN India 4G services commercially. The announcement comes in after completing successful trials in a few cities.

Bharti Airtel was the first telecom operator to start 4G services in India, having launched its 4G network in Kolkata in April 2012. The company will be offering 4G services at 3G data rates with data packs starting at Rs. 25. To avail 4G services, the customer needs to have a 4G SIM and they need to get it swapped. With every swapping, the customer is eligible to receive six months of unlimited music streaming and downloads on ‘Wynk Music’ and five free movies per month for six months on the Eros Now channel of ‘Wynk Movies’.

Airtel has also announced new ‘Infinity Plans’ starting at Rs. 999 which will allow unlimited voice calls to mobiles along with data benefits and access to ‘Wynk Movies’ and ‘Wynk Music’. The company is also offering free home delivery of 4G SIM cards and activation of new Postpaid connection within 4 hours.

Airtel has also introduced Flexpage. “This breakthrough technology is an automated platform that allows customers to track their data usage and get real time usage alerts. With Flexpage, customers can also upgrade their mobile plan on the go, as and when they exhaust their monthly data quota. Customers can also opt from amongst a host of affordable 4G smart bytes starting at prices as low as Rs.100.”, the company said in a press release.

Apart from this, Airtel will be providing free (bundled) 4G SIM cards along with 4G devices on flipkart.
