Asus has finally launched the much – awaited Zenfone Zoom in India. The smartphone was introduced at CES 2015 along with Zenfone 2.
The Asus Zenfone Zoom sports a 5.5 Full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. The device is powered by a 64 bit Intel Atom Z3590 Quad Core processor clocked at 2.5GHz with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM and 128 GB of storage capacity with an expandable memory slot with storage capacity of upto 128 GB. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with ZenUI 2.0 on top. It also includes 4G/LTE connectivity.
The smartphone is designed exclusively for the photographers and is the world’s thinnest smartphone to feature a 13 MP primary camera with a 3X optical zoom. It also includes a 10-element lens design with upto a 12X digital zoom and optical image stabilizer (OIS) for longer exposures, equivalent to up to four stops. The primary camera is also equipped with dual LED real tone flash and also has laser auto-focus to point and shoot with total clarity in just 0.2 seconds. The device also sports a 5 MP front facing camera.
The Asus Zenfone Zoom is backed a 3,000mAh battery with ASUS BoostMaster technology for turbo-speed charging that takes the battery from 0 to 60% in just 39 minutes. Other features include 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.0+EDR , NFC, GLONASS, BDS, microUSB and WiFi. It also includes Accelerator, E-Compass, Gyroscope, Proximity, Ambient Light Sensor and Hall Sensor(s). The device supports single SIM and will be available in Black and White color variants.
The Asus Zenfone Zoom is priced at 37,999. The Zenflash and Tripod will cost you ₹ 2,000 more. The black variant of the smartphone is now available at Flipkart. The company is also running an Exchange Offer by which you can get a discount of upto ₹ 20,000 against eligible handsets.
