LG India Electronics Pvt. Ltd. that was set up in India in January 1997 has earned a premium brand positioning and is the acknowledged trendsetter for the ‘Consumer Electronics’ industry. The company marked its 17th anniversary with the ‘KarSalaam’ initiative, dedicated to the Indian Army.
The campaign that was launched prior to Republic Day, invited the entire nation to come forward and send their wishes to our armed forces. The company had promoted the campaign at various levels which include radio broadcast, field activities and digital platforms. More than 2 Lakhs messages were collected online and offline. Now, the company is in plans to claim a Guinness record for collecting the maximum number of wishes through offline channels.
Kim Ki Wan, MD of LG India, took the campaign to the next level by handing over a cheque of Rs. 1 crore to Shri Rajnath Singh, Minister of Home Affairs, Government of India, for the CRPF welfare fund.

Therefore, we took this initiative to bring together the citizens of India to express their gratitude to our soldiers. Today, the entire nation is proud of its armed forces, and the response to this initiative in the form of collecting good wishes for soldiers is an indication for the same. I would like to thank the people of India for extending their support to the armed forces.“
