Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab S3, Galaxy Book and the Gear VR with controller. The Galaxy Tab S3 comes with a 9.7-inch Super AMOLED display and the Galaxy Book is offered in a 10.6-inch TFT LCD version and 12-inch Super AMOLED version.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 sports a 9.7inch Super AMOLED display QXGA display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad core processor clocked at 2.15GHz with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage with an expandable memory slot that supports upto 256GB (microSD card). The device runs on Android 7.0Nougat out of the box.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 features a 13MP primary camera with Flash and a 5MP camera on the front. The device packs a 6,000mAh battery and includes support for Fast Charging. Other features include 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB 3.1 (Type – C) and GPS. It also includes Accelerometer, Hall, RGB, Gyroscope, Geometric and Fingerprint Sensors.
The Samsung Galaxy Book is the first Windows device by Samsung to support the S Pen stylus. The device will be available in two variants – 10.6inch TFT Full HD and 12inch and Super AMOLED Full HD display. The 10.6-inch Samsung Galaxy Book is powered by a 7th generation Intel Core m3 dual-core processor clocked at 2.6GHz,while the 12-inch Samsung Galaxy Book is powered by a 7th generation Intel Core i5 dual-core processor clocked at 3.1GHz. The 10.6-inch variant comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage, while the 12-inch variant comes with 4GB RAM + 128GB of internal storage and 8GB + 256 GB of internal storage. Both the variants include a microSD expansion slot that supports upto 256GB and runs on Windows 10.
The 10-inch variant sports a 5MP Fixed Focus webcam, while the 12-inch variant sports a 13MP auto-focus rear camera and a 5MP webcam. The 10-inch variant sports one USB 3.1 (Type – C) port while the other sports 2 USB 3.1 (Type – C) ports. The 10-inch variant packs a 30WHr battery while the the other model includes 39.04WHr battery. Both the models include support for Fast Charging. Both the variants include support for 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 BLE, 2×2 MIMO and GPS. The devices also includes Ambient, Hall and Light sensors.
Samsung has also announced Gear VR with Controller, its first-ever Gear VR headset with a controller. Gear VR with Controller offers 42mm lenses with 101-degree FOV (Field of View) and advanced distortion correction technology to minimize motion sickness. The Samsung Gear VR with Controller will support both micro USB and USB Type-C port with a converter in-box.
The latest edition of the Samsung Gear VR is compatible with the Galaxy S7, S7 edge, Note5, S6 edge+, S6 and S6 edge.
