Samsung has launched its latest flagship devices – Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in India. The devices will be available starting May 5, 2017. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are priced at ₹ 57,900 and ₹ 64,900 and will be available exclusively via Flipkart.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will sport an iris scanner and a fingerprint sensor at the back. Both the handsets will come with Bixby Virtual Assistant. The handsets come with ‘Infinity Displays’ and are dust and water resistant.
Both the handsets feature 12-megapixel ‘Dual Pixel’ rear camera with OIS and an 8MP front camera with autofocus technology. The handsets will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The company also claims that these are the first devices to be certified by the UHD Alliance as Mobile HDR Premium.
Both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will either be powered by Exynos 8895 SoC (2.35GHz Quad + 1.9GHz Quad). The handsets include 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with an expandable memory slot of up to 256GB.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 will sport a 5.8inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display while the Galaxy S8+ sports a 6.2-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display. Both the devices include Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ packs a 3,000mAh and 3,500mAh battery respectively. Other features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, NFC, MST and GPS. It also includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, gyroscope, heart rate sensor, magnetometer and proximity sensor.
Both the devices supports Samsung Pay and will come with a new wireless charger. Pre-Ordering starts today at 3 PM on Flipkart.
