LG launches G6 in India, priced at ₹ 51,990

LG India today launched the G6. The device is priced at ₹ 51,990 and will be exclusively available via Amazon from midnight. The company has also launched its sports Bluetooth headset, Tone Active+ at ₹ 9,990.

The LG G6 boast a full metal uni-body design with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The smartphone is said to be complaint with the US Military Standard Drop Test (MIL STD-810G) which means that the smartphone can easily withstand a drop from a height of 1.5 metres ( 4.92 feet). The LG G6 sports a 5.7inch QHD+ FullVision display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, DolbyVision HDR certification, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 octa-core processor with 4GB of DDR4 RAM and 64GB of built in storage, with can be expanded by another 2TB via microSD card. The handset runs on Android v7.1 with UX 6.0 on top and Google Assistant Pre-Installed.

The LG G6 features a dual rear camera setup at the back with two 13-megapixel sensors with a 125-degree lens. This will allow the users to click large – group shots and landscapes. On the front, it is equipped with a 5MP selfie camera with 100-degree wide-angle lens which will allow the users take larger group shots. The cameras are also equipped with OIS 2.0 (Optical Image Stabilization), EIS (Electrical Image Stabilization) and PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus).

The device packs a 3,300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. It also includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0.

Reliance Jio users are also eligible for 100GB of FREE data valid till March 2018. Additionally, those users will also be eligible for 10GB of Free 4G data with every ₹ 309 Jio recharge.
